Rumours - A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac

Mic Chandler (www.nicksfix.com), who has photographed many stars including the lovely Stevie Nicks has also photographed Mary-Ann and Rumours. He has endorsed Mary-Ann through his word, ongoing support and friendship.

Rumours have a long history of entertaining audiences from all over Canada and the United States. They are the original, most successful, and longest running Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks Tribute in Canada.

They have had the honour and joy to perform at countless numbers of festivals, theatres, casinos, charitable events, corporate functions and clubs and have shared the venue stage with such performers as: Richard Marx, Pat Benatar, KC & The Sunshine Band, The Village People, April Wine, Taylor Dane, B.J. Thomas, Eddy Money, Firefall, America, BTO, Gary Puckett, and the list goes on…

They have played from James Bay to Texas, Vancouver to Newfoundland, St. Louis to Virginia, Florida to Rhode Island and many places in between. Rumours originally formed in the late eighties as a very popular Stevie Nicks Tribute called, Edge of 17, as the years passed, they added music from Fleetwood Mac, thus, becoming, Rumours of Nicks. Mary-Ann, the original founder and lead singer, retired after having children, but after a constant barrage of calls to book the show and with support from Agents and friends, came out of retirement and together with the original drummer and bass player, put the show back together, calling it, Rumours.

Now, at their eighth year anniversary, the band has grown into an even more streamlined marriage of Fleetwood Mac and the best of Stevie Nicks. Rumours have the pleasure of traveling all over Canada and the United States. Buyers and promoters have gotten to know them as a professional, polite and caring band who always listen to what the buyers and agents needs are and tries to fulfill those needs as best as possible. They are punctual and never demanding. They approach each show with total commitment and newness, bringing to their audience a truly live show, instead of a live scripted show. They even traveled in 2005 with Mary-Ann’s daughter, who played violin in Landslide. It was great for the band and the audience and all this kids who could enjoy it.

Through costume and gesture, Rumours recreates the experience of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks and their drummer Gordie, even includes a walking drum solo which emulates Mic Fleetwood’s overpowering style and personality. All members of Rumours are thankful for the opportunity to travel and meet and play with so many interesting, wonderful and colourful people. They would love to come to your town or function and spend some time with you.

On their behalf, they always say: Accept no imitations when booking a Fleetwood Mac / Stevie Nicks Tribute Band, you’ve got to get the Original Tribute: Rumours! It sounds funny, but makes sense.
